4901-4911 Catharine Street

Six three-story, three-bay, Colonial Revival rowhouses constructed of Pompeiian brick. First story storefronts have been altered with modern materials and some partially infilled. Distinguishing features include second story pressed metal bays with swags and garland and denticulated cornice, third story arched windows grouped in three and framed by brick mold and projecting keystone, bracketed pressed metal cornice with finials. 6 Contributing.
4913-4931 Catharine Street

Ten three-story, two-bay Colonial Revival orangish Pompeiian brick rowhouses. Distinguishing features include first story classical columned continuous porch with projecting section denoting entrance location, stone post piers, and bracketed cornice. Porch infilled at 4925. Original turned porch balustrades are located at 4915, 4919, 4921, 4927, 4929, 4931. Second story projecting pressed metal bracketed bays. Third story arched and square headed windows. Ionic pilasters visually divide continuous facade into individual units. Tiled hipped roof with hipped roof dormers. 10 Contributing.

Eleven three-story, two-bay reddish Pompeiian brick Colonial Revival twins. Distinguishing features include first story classical columned continuous porch with projecting section denoting entrance location, stone post piers, and bracketed cornice; second story projecting pressed metal bracketed bays; third story alternating arched and square headed windows; Ionic pilasters visually divide continuous facade into individual units; decorative brick and terra cotta molds; bracketed cornice; and tiled hipped roof with hipped roof bracketed dormers. Sixteen three-story, two-bay reddish orange brick Colonial Revival twins organized in an AABBAABBAABBAABB pattern. First story of A and B units include classical columned front porch with stone porch piers and bracketed cornice. Most porches have been altered with modern posts, infilled, and/or altered with modern siding. Second stories contain projecting bay with pilasters and brackets, though most have been altered with modern siding. Distinguishing features of the A units include modified hipped/mansard with dormer with shallow hipped roof and wide eaves, and paired 1/1 sash. Distinguishing features of the B units include modified hipped/mansard with steeply pitched hipped roof dormer with 1/1 sash grouped in threes. 16 Contributing.

Ten two-story, two-bay brick Colonial Revival twins. First story porches originally with Corinthian columns, though only one remains exposed.
