4000 block Ludlow Street

4041-4045 Ludlow Street
c. 1886
Three three-story, two-bay brick Victorian rowhouses. Distinguishing features include bracketed cornice, and projecting first story wooden bays. Original 4/4 sash remain on 4045. Original bay with 4/4 sash and flanking 2/2 sash on 4043 and 4045. Carriage entrance between 4043 and 4045. Yards surrounded by iron fencing. 3 Contributing.

4047-4055 Ludlow Street

Five three-story, two-bay brick Victorian rowhouses. Distinguishing features include stone lintels and sills, bracketed pressed metal cornice, original door at 4053. 5 Contributing.

4059-4061 Ludlow Street

Two three-story, two-bay brick Victorian rowhouses with stone lintels and sills, bracketed pressed metal cornices, 1/1 sash and flat roofs. Window centered on Ludlow elevation of 4061 with entrance on 41st Street; probable fenestration change. 2 Contributing.

4000-4002 Ludlow Street

Four three-story, two-bay brick Victorian rowhouses with stone sills, brick arched lintels, some original 2/2 sash, and flat roofs. 4000 has a commercial usage. Originally stood as four residences. Currently the eastern three are numbered 4000 and were converted to one commercial building. The Ludlow elevation windows are bricked in and boarded up, with the only access gained through the 40th Street elevation entrance. 4002 still appears to be a residence. 4 Contributing.

4006-4012 Ludlow Street
c. 1886
Four three-story, two-bay brick Victorian twins with wooden lintels and sills, front porches, bracketed cornices, and flat roofs. An original iron fence remains at 4006. Porch removed – 4006. Porch altered with modern posts and balustrade – 4008, 4012. Original 4/6 sash – 4010, 4-12. 4 Contributing.

4024-4026, 4030, and 4034 Ludlow Street
c. 1886
Four three-story, two-bay brick Victorian rowhouses with stone lintels and sills, pressed metal bracketed cornices, front porches and flat roofs. Numbers 4028 and 4032 have been demolished. Modern porch posts and balustrades on all. Original 4/4 sash on 4024. 4 Contributing.

One one-story concrete block flat roofed building. 1 Non-contributing.

One one-story brick building with garage entrance and door. Stucco covering all original fabric and any original window or door openings. Date indeterminable. No historic integrity. 1 Non-contributing.
