ABOUT
The Oral History Project is an initiative that seeks to record interviews with residents of our neighborhood and to document their lived history here. We film residents who have made West Philadelphia home and talk to them about their experiences and hear their stories.
Our initial interviews have been focused on our neighborhood elders and with people associated with the University City Historical Society but we have plans to pan out beyond our own organization. If you know of anyone who has been a resident of long standing or who is considered a community elder, please be in touch with us. We’d love to talk to them on camera and capture their story for posterity!
